WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS?
Cheri and Meghan have been working with event professionals on the central coast of California and beyond for over 15 years! They both found themselves arranging events and weddings on their own and professionally. After finding a mutual love for the crazy life of wedding and event planning, decided to join forces and Coastal Classy Events & Design was born. They’ve recently formed a new partnership with the premier catering company on the Monterey Peninsula, Grapes of Wrath Catering, the beautiful Monterey Beach House and several stunning and exclusive venues. They have been going strong ever since. We are excited to be able to offer so much to you.
WHAT DO YOU CHARGE?
Lets face it. A huge portion of our decisions are based on how much something costs. We completely understand the need to set up a budget and to try to balance all those Pinterest board ideas with your true vision of what your wedding can be. If you are anything like us you’ve already scoured the internet to see budget breakdowns and started scoping out vendors that might fit your vision and your budget. You might think a planner is not in your budget.
We can say that our clients generally spend over $35k on all their wedding costs (excluding the wedding dress). We can also say that our couples are able to save time, stress and sometime significant money specifically because of our knowledge of vendors. Our coordination savvy and general killer instincts when it comes to cost comparisons are spot on! Ask yourself, how much is your time and sanity worth?

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A WEDDING PLANNER AND A VENUE COORDINATOR?
The real question should be: who is this person working for? In the end, the venue coordinator, no matter how knowledgeable or good they are at their job, works for the venue and the wedding planner works for you.
We love venue coordinators and they give valuable expertise and knowledge as it comes to the venue. They may have your final headcount, or reception layout, and even know your menu but they are just one piece of the puzzle. Our job is to make sure that you, your family and your guests have the best possible experience.
CAN I SEND YOU MY PINTEREST PAGE?

WILL YOU TRAVEL?
Absolutely! Please note that travel is covered in each package for up to (1) hour outside of Monterey, California. Further travel may result in additional fees (i.e. hotel rooms, meals, etc) depending on the details of the event.
DO YOU PLAN ANYTHING OTHER THAN WEDDINGS?
Yes! We have planned rehearsal dinners, baby and bridal showers, birthday parties, sweet 16’s, celebrations of life and much more. Cheri Rainwater has worked for and arranged corporate events for companies such as Pebble Beach Community Services, the National AT&T Pro-Am, Pebble Beach U.S. Open and California State University Monterey Bay. She has also coordinated events for some big names such as the Golden State Warriors, AT&T National Pro Am, and for Congressman Leon Panettea’s leadership programs.

WHAT IS YOUR PAYMENT STRUCTURE AND HOW DO I PAY YOU?
A 50% retainer is due to reserve your date. 25% is due 60 days before your date and the remaining balance being due 30 days prior to the event. Coastal Classy Events & Design uses an entirely on line system for inquiries, bookings, and payments – it’s so easy and very convenient.
IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY WEDDING/EVENT IS THE DEPOSIT REFUNDABLE?
All initial deposits are non refundable. However, we will work with you to re-schedule with Coastal Classy Events for an future available date.
WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK YOU FOR OUR WEDDING?
As soon as you have a date in mind! As a boutique style event planning company we only take a limited number of contracts to ensure each of our clients is well looked after! There may be 52 weeks in the year but there are some very popular wedding dates in there and we would hate to send you the “sorry we’re already booked” email. DO YOU OFFER ANY TOOLS TO HELP ME WITH GUEST LISTS AND COORDINATION?
So glad you asked! With any of our services we offer an online program where you can keep all your information organized and accessible from guest lists, gift registries, color pallets and ideas, timelines, checklists and much more. This allows us as coordinators to really give you the best experience possible.
